Manchester City winger Brandon Barker is being lined up for a cut-price move to Celtic

Celtic are lining up a cut-price deal to sign Manchester City winger Brandon Barker.

Neil Lennon took the wide man on a successful loan spell from the Etihad Stadium during his time as Hibernian manager.

And Lennon now wants to offer the 22-year-old a return to the SPFL Premiership after he ended a frustrating year at Preston North End in May.

With 12 months left on his £16,000-per-week deal at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City are likely to cut their losses this summer.

And, with lingering doubts over the Parkhead future of Scott Sinclair as he enters the final year of his contract, Barker is a player Lennon knows and admires.
