Chelsea are growing in confidence they can sign Callum Hudson-Odoi to a new contract

Chelsea are growing in confidence they can sign Callum Hudson-Odoi to a new contract in the near future.

The 18-year-old turned down a series of offers last season from the Stamford Bridge side and was desperate to move to German champions Bayern Munich in the January window.

Bayern had four transfer bids for the England international, whose contract expires next summer, turned down by Chelsea.

His hopes of a move have dimmed as a result of the ruptured achilles he suffered towards the end of the season.

While Bayern are still keen to sign Hudson-Odoi, they have turned to other targets as they look for replacements for Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.

According to Report, that means Chelsea believe now is the time to offer Hudson-Odoi a new contract, and are convinced they can get him to stay.

Chelsea believe Hudson-Odoi would be willing to sign a new deal worth £100,000 a week.

Chelsea could also offer him the No 10 shirt, with Eden Hazard set to leave for Real Madrid, and that would come as a boost and a sign of their commitment to him
