The proprietors of Manchester City are thinking about purchasing a club in India, says CEO Ferran Soriano.
City Football Group expanded its portfolio to seven clubs in the wake of purchasing a stake in Chinese third-level side Sichuan Jiuniu FC in February.
Just as Manchester City, the gathering likewise possesses or has shares in New York City, Melbourne City, Yokohama F Marinos, Atletico Torque and Girona.
"With every one of these improvements we must be persistent," said Soriano.
"We have some enthusiasm for certain business sectors and nations where there is an authentic football energy and openings, similar to China, yet in addition India. So there may be different open doors in Asia.
"We've been taking a gander at India for almost two years now. I'd state this year we'll finish up completing an interest in India."
City Football Group was made in 2013 as City's first sister club was set up in New York.
"As we see it presently, there is a characteristic pace of development that we will pursue that takes us to in excess of seven groups, yet not 100 groups," included Soriano.
"I can't see 10 years ahead yet the gathering may have a few groups more. Is this going to change in five years and we will have more? Perhaps, I don't have the foggiest idea about that.
"Be that as it may, to finish the vision that we had six years prior, I figure we will have perhaps a few clubs more."
