Lando Norris of McLaren fastest on day one of final test

English freshman Lando Norris set the quickest time in his McLaren on the principal day of the last pre-season test.

The 19-year-old utilized the second mildest tires to pip Red Bull's Pierre Gasly by only 0.006secs before separating on track in Barcelona.

Gasly, utilizing the center of five mixes, was 0.109secs in front of Lance Stroll's Racing Point.

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel was a further 0.101secs back while Lewis Hamilton was twelfth quickest for Mercedes.
